O Alexandros Liazos holds a Diploma in Surveing & Geoinformatics Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (2020) and an MSc in Management Science and Technology from the Athens University of Economics and Business (2022), while from November 2023 he is a PhD Candidate in the field of resilient transport networks and their response to climate change. His research interests include operations research and algorithms in transport and network analysis, and their simulation in different environments and scenarios. He has been a member of TEE since 2022, and additionally he is working in the I-SENSE team of EPISSE, working as a Scientific Project Manager on Smart Mobility Automated Solutions, participating in projects funded by the European Union. He operates or has previously operated macroscopic and microscopic modelling and simulation software (Aimsun, TransCAD), Geographic Information Systems (QGIS), as well as programming languages (mainly Python), to perform complex operations in the aforementioned software, and to implement network optimization algorithms. He has published (2022) his undergraduate thesis on finding an optimal path in a constrained transportation network in the journal Transportation Research Part D. MSc
