Road safety

Road safety audits and assessments by certified members of the laboratory, and guidelines that make roads safer.

Any road can be designed to forgive human error. Members of the laboratory carry out road safety audits as certified auditors, assess existing sections and help shape regulatory frameworks.

Indicative activities

  • Road safety audit and geometric design of the Patras–Athens–Thessaloniki–Evzoni road axis.
  • Safety checks and assessment of existing sections of the Corinth–Patras motorway.
  • Road safety audit and Regulatory Framework for the design of the Northern Road Axis of Crete (BOAK).
  • Operational evaluation of the Road Safety Centre of Saudi Arabia.
